Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain will reopen after closing for months following the state's public health order to slow the spread of COVID-19.

A statement from the Wheatland location said it will reopen Thursday at 10 a.m., but with modifications that keep social distancing guidelines in mind.

“Few things are more rock ‘n roll than a long-awaited band reunion, and we’ve missed our loyal guests these past few months,” said Mark Birtha, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain president, in a release. “I’m happy to say that when our guests return, they’ll discover more to love here than ever.”

The casino closed in March as a precautionary measure the same week Gov. Gavin Newsom announced statewide stay-at-home orders.

State officials approved Yuba County's attestation forms to ease restrictions and allow some businesses in the area to reopen. Hard Rock said it worked with the Yuba-Sutter health officer for its reopening plans.

Below are new requirements for employees and patrons in accordance with public health guidelines:

• Requiring guests and team members to wear a face mask
• Thermal temperature checks at all entrances for guests and team members
• Increased hand sanitizer stations throughout the casino
• Enhanced cleaning and sanitizing protocols in all areas
• Appropriate social distancing requirements using visual distance markers, signage and team member guidance
• Reduced capacity in gaming, food and beverage and hotel venues
• Plexiglass shields in place at guest facing service windows including Wild Card Services, front desk, casino cage and host stands
• Deep cleaning of all gaming surfaces, chips, hotel rooms, restaurants, pool and public areas prior to reopening

First responders and military members will receive special benefits and discounts starting June 1, Hard Rock said. It is also updating its menu items and gaming experiences.

Hard Rock said it continued paying its employees and maintaining health benefits throughout its closure. It also made food and cash donations to different communities and organizations.
